Modular boiler plants

Modular boiler plants by AMELIN are automated factory-assembled boiler plants built on the basis of AMELIN steam and heat generating equipment, and composed of one or more mobile modules complete with all appropriate equipment. After factory assembly modular boiler plants (MBPs) are subjected to comprehensive trials and shipped for installation to the owner's site in separate units.

To be installed on the owner's site MBP's units needs only to be assembled into a single plant with smoke stacks installed and utilities connected.

MBP's units are fabricated of structural steel faced with fire-resistant thermally insulated sandwich panels. Climatic configuration is chosen according to the climatic conditions on the installation site.

MBPs are shipped complete with high quality equipment by Russian and international manufacturers.

High level of the MBP automation supports integration of the MBP's control system into the owner's existing automated process control system, monitoring of the equipment's operation and MBP control from a remote location.

Rooftop boiler plant

Rooftop boiler plants are an ideal solution for autonomous supply of heat to a public building if land is expensive and development is dense.

Unit dimensions have been selected to enable delivery by truck or railroad.

Rooftop boiler plant is installed directly onto the roofing material or a special basement.

Following configurations of the rooftop boiler plant structure are possible:

  • stationary (easy-to-assemble sandwich structures) - the boiler plant is assembled on the owner's site
  • modular (shipped as factory-assembled units). Units are assembled, connected to the utilities and wired to the grid on the site that has been prepared by AMELIN engineers
  • Boiler plant's equipment list is developed according to the owner's preferences.

    Stationary boiler plants

    Stationary boiler plants are capital structures with a structural steel frame faced with sandwich panels or reinforced concrete capital structures.

    Construction of a stationary boiler plant is reasonable and justified where high output of heat and steam is required (higher than 20 MW).

    Stationary boiler plants need continuous attendance and supervision by the operations personnel, therefore utility and storage areas, shops, and offices are organized in the boiler plant building.

    The use of modern thermal energy equipment, different levels of automation with integration into the existing automated process control system, use of energy saving technologies, routine boiler plant operation and maintenance training of the personnel result in the capital expenses payback period of 1.5-3 years. Average service life of the main equipment items is up to 35 years after commissioning.
